September Jobs Report ‘Worst of the Year’

Democrats’ failed economic agenda is squandering the country’s recovery and hurting American workers.

October 8, 2021

Disappointing jobs numbers for the month of September revealed lethargic economic growth once again. Only 194,000 jobs were added to the economy during the month, falling well below economists’ estimation of 500,000.

According to CNN, September’s jobs report was “way less than anybody expected, and less than last month and worst of the year.”

Wall Street Journal: “U.S. job growth fell to the slowest pace of the year in September, as the Delta variant and a persistent shortage of workers restrained the ability of companies to hire.”

CNN: “It marked the second-straight month in which the US economy added far fewer jobs than expected. Jobs growth slowed down dramatically in August.”

Bottom line: Democrats’ failed economic agenda is squandering the country’s recovery and hurting American workers.
