In response the hypocritical and preposterous letter sent by Senate Democrats on the EPW Committee to Scott Pruitt, AR2 is demanding that they fully disclose their ties to dark money extreme environmental groups and return that money, or they recuse themselves from next week’s EPA Administrator confirmation hearing.
The fact is that these Senate Democrats are bought and paid for by out-of-touch groups that are proposing policies that would destroy millions of jobs and cost our country billions of dollars. Instead of listening to the message sent by the American people, these Senators are committed to doing the bidding of these fanatical organizations because they have flooded them with $4.7 million in combined campaign cash.
See below to see just how comprised this group of Senators is by these environmentalist groups:
Member | Total (Contributions And Independent Expenditures) |
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) | $19,346 |
Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) | $9,381 |
Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE) | $7,385 |
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) | $272,893 |
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) | $17,750 |
Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) | $3,184,627 |
Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) | $1,204,567 |
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) | $40,188 |
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) | $35,365 |
Total | $4,791,502 |
Because these Senators cannot be trusted to objectively give Scott Pruitt a fair shake due to this outside influence from these radical green groups, we are calling on them to return the campaign contributions they have received from these organizations or recuse themselves from next week’s hearing in the interest of fairness and accountability.
