With terrorism and the fear of terrorist attacks on the rise across the globe, Hillary Clinton will double-down on President Obama’s failed policy to defeat and underestimate ISIS’s lethal aims. As the President stumps with the Democratic nominee today in Charlotte, North Carolina, it is abundantly clear that the Obama Administration is losing the fight against ISIS and Hillary Clinton has not put forward any ideas that deviate from the Administration’s failed plan.
Considering the President’s failed leadership and plans to defeat ISIS, Americans should wonder why Clinton would want to continue these failed policies, especially considering their failure to “destroy” and “degrade” ISIS. Clinton’s support for the President’s strategy against ISIS has continued even as criticism of the Administration’s lack of a plan has grown. According to a recent CNN/ORC poll, only 38 percent of Americans support the President’s dealing with ISIS, while 60 percent of Americans disapprove.
Clinton has long embraced the President’s policies and would dangerously continue the “status quo” of the current Administration. Clinton’s plan to defeat ISIS is eerily similar to the President’s plan, even admitting that his “take on what needs to be done is close to mine”:
It’s strange that Clinton would hitch her wagon to Obama’s failed policies when she openly admitted, “we’re not winning.”
Americans are becoming increasing insecure about their safety, with 71% thinking “further acts of terrorism are very or somewhat likely” in the United States over the next several weeks. According to recent NBC polling, an increasing number of Americans rank terrorism as the most important issue facing our country today. That poses a major problem to Secretary Clinton given her weakness on this issue.
The one thing that is clear is that Hillary Clinton and President Obama have placed political expediency and political correctness over the national security needs of the country. As ISIS continues to metastasize across the Middle East and the western world, it is clear we need to aggressively fight them, since their defeat is the only way to ensure the security of the America and its allies across the world.
