The union-funded “Fight For $15” campaign is set to hold its latest protest at tonight’s presidential debate at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY tonight. Earlier this year, “Fight for $15” organizers voted to formally merge with the Service Employees Industrial Union (SEIU), which pumped more than $18 million into its efforts in the last year alone.
The latest FF15 protest comes on the heels of their national convention in Richmond, VA, which was marred by organizers interrupting SEIU President Mary Kay Henry because they weren’t being paid $15/hour. Here’s the memorable video:
While tonight’s protests may look organic and feel authentic, it is SEIU and the big labor bosses in Washington who are actually pulling the strings.
