McCarthy Confident on California Gas Tax Repeal

June 27, 2018

Like many Republicans in California, the House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, believes that the gas tax imposed last year by Democrats will be repealed:

“Affordability is the most significant issue facing California, yet Democrats in Sacramento continue to pile on harmful regulations, taxes, and red tape. The repeal of the 12- cent per gallon tax hike qualified for the ballot back in April. The measure comes on the heels of Californians seeing gas prices well above the national average.
