MISSOURI RISING APPLAUDS IMPORTANT FIRST STEP ON LEGAL REFORM

Missouri Rising released the below statement following the signing of legislation yesterday that reforms Missouri’s expert witness standards:

“This is an important first step to implementing legal reforms that will help consumers across Missouri and bring more jobs back into the state by ending frivolous lawsuits,” said Jeremy Adler, communications director for Missouri Rising. “Now that witness standards have been implemented, it is critical that the Legislature move forward with other key legal reforms to push back on the undue influence of trial lawyers and help make Missouri more competitive for the jobs and companies of the future.”

Last week, Missouri Rising released a new television ad, “Judicial Hellhole,” that focused on the current broken legal system in the state and encouraged citizens to call their legislators and urge them to pass key reform measures.
