Tester Paid More Than $40K To Attack DeVos
Sen. Jon Tester’s speech this morning was bought-and-paid-for by special interests that want to maintain America’s current education system, despite the fact that it is failing students across the country.
Teacher’s unions like AFT and NEA have poured over $40,000 into his campaign fund with the full expectation that Sen. Tester would work to stop any efforts to reform the status quo. The unions’ highest priority is opposing the nomination of Betsy DeVos, who promises to put students and parents before big labor’s extreme agenda.
On top of that, Sen. Tester’s constituents are clearly clamoring for reform in Washington D.C. President Trump won Montana by more than 20 points in 2016 with the promise of shaking up the status quo.
The President’s appointment of Betsy DeVos fulfills that promise and Sen. Tester’s opposition is only fueled by donations he has taken from special interest allies that are dead-set against making the education system work for students and parents.
