Five senators running for president are all on board with freshman Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s radical Green New Deal bill. Co-sponsors include Senators Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez along with Sen. Edward Markey plan to provide a framework for the radical climate bill. However, the details are scarce and there is no plan of how to pay for it. Economists have outlined problems with the plan and research shows it would be impossible to accomplish within the proposed timeframe and could cost $7 trillion.

Today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shrugged off this major policy platform of the progressive left as merely a “suggestion:”

Politico: It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive. The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?”

The progressive left is already pushing the 2020 field to the far left. Will they call on Pelosi to bring this bill to the floor? Or are they too just giving the bill lip service to appease the AOC base of the party?
