Today, a liberal front group for organized labor, Restaurants Opportunities Centers United (ROC), led by its founded Saru Jayaraman, will reportedly attempt to get arrested in protest against the National Restaurant Association in Washington, DC, diverting precious law enforcement resources away from keeping District residents safe in favor of big labor’s political theater.
DC police are already stretched thin today. Violent crime is up 15% from 2015 and this year has seen a total of over 8,000 crimes – an average of almost 79 a day.
We already know that the union-funded “Fight for 15” is not really a fight to raise wages, but a multi-million dollar political campaign aimed at establishing momentum to advance its liberal policy agenda.
And now ROC joining with other left-wing groups this week in distracting District police officers for sake of generating media attention for big labor’s agenda.
