Ripped From The Headlines: Tough Day For Judge Garland

Despite Senate Republicans standing strongly together behind the commitment to allow the American people to weigh in on the current Supreme Court vacancy, Judge Garland appears anxious to take a seat on the Court and start rubber stamping President Obama’s liberal agenda.

He’s so anxious to swing the court in a radically liberal direction that he took the step of submitting an unwarranted questionnaire to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The problem: the questionnaire failed to include sufficient details about Garland’s personal finances. Take a look at some of the headlines following this revelation:

Roll Call: “Judge Garland Withheld Key Financial Information From Senate”

Politico: “Garland Questionnaire Doesn’t Include Detailed Financial Info”

While Senate Republicans are correct in ensuring that the American people will have voice in who replaces Justice Scalia, Judge Garland clearly isn’t doing himself any favors by withholding important information from the Senate.

This misstep is just another example of how the White House’s attempts to circumvent the voice of the American people and change the makeup of the Supreme Court has been a total failure.
