Shortly after Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia passed away on February 13, 2016, America Rising asked three dozen federal and local agencies for their contemporaneous communications about his death.  Today, America Rising is releasing a select number of the records it has received to date:

The majority of agencies found no responsive records or merely news clippings, or they asserted that their records were entirely exempt.  A few agencies have not issued final responses to America Rising’s 20-month-old requests, notably the U.S. Marshals Service, which sent personnel to the site of Justice Scalia’s death in West Texas.  America Rising will update this post if and when it receives any additional records.
