Labor Secretary Tom Perez has finally taken a day off from shamelessly campaigning for the SEIU’s “Fight For $15” Agenda and auditioning as Hillary Clinton’s Vice President to testify before the House Committee On Appropriations on Capitol Hill today.

Needless to say, Secretary Perez will be pushing Congress for increased funds to finance the Labor Department’s brazen efforts to propagate the SEIU’s minimum wage scheme to put money in the pockets of big union bosses while potentially putting millions of workers out of work. The Department of Labor has called for $277 Million for “ensuring workers get fair pay for a fair day’s work,” and for support of a higher minimum wage:

Supporting a Higher Minimum Wage. The Administration supports raising the minimum wage so hard-working Americans can earn enough to support their families and make ends meet.

Ensuring Workers Get Fair Pay for a Fair Day’s Work. The Budget provides $277 million to enforce laws that establish the minimum standards for wages and working conditions in many workplaces in the United States, particularly in industries where workers are most at risk.
