This week, the Missouri business community took to the airwaves, to voice their disapproval of Chris Koster’s stance on a union paycheck withholding measure.

The 30-second television spot takes aim at Koster asking, “Were you forced to join a union just to get a job? Are you tired of paying union dues to help elect politicians like Chris Koster?”

The ad is in response to a “paycheck protection” bill, which would require many public employee unions “to acquire written permission from members annually before any union dues can be withheld from their paychecks.”

Just days after attending a rally against the “paycheck protection” override, Koster received “more than $1 million of contributions,” largely from labor unions. A highly concerning move given his past history on campaign contributions.

Chris Koster needs to make good on his recent promise of “getting back to business of promoting business,” and do what is best for the hard working people of Missouri instead of doing the bidding for big labor.
