Job Optimism Reaches New High

May 29, 2018

A recent poll from Gallup shows that Americans are more confident than ever when it comes to finding work:

“Sixty-seven percent of Americans believe that now is a good time to find a quality job in the U.S., the highest percentage in 17 years of Gallup polling. Optimism about the availability of good jobs has grown by 25 percentage points since Donald Trump was elected president.”

Optimism about the job market is also up among all age, income, and education groups. Small business owners and the manufacturing sector are also experiencing record high levels of confidence. This news is coupled with the unemployment rate being at a 17-year low.

Despite this positive economic news for job seekers, Democrats have decided to stick with attacking the GOP led tax reform package. They refuse to recognize the benefits the new law has on the improving the economy and say success stories are “anecdotal,” even though that claim has been debunked.
