Senator Cory Booker is meeting with Judge Gorsuch today, and based on an interview he did last year he should be calling for an up-or-down vote for the Supreme Court nominee. Here is what he said:
  • “If the situations were reversed and there was a Republican President … I would be calling … [for] an up-or-down vote” – Senator Booker, 3/18/16
If Booker is good to his word, he will be joining at least nine other Democrat Senators calling for an up-or-down vote for Judge Gorsuch.

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

Booker: “But I’m a big believer if the situations were reversed and there was a Republican President in the last year on the federal level, I would be calling, just like some Republican Senators have, I just listened to Senator Collins from Maine saying we should be giving this person a hearing, an up-or-down vote to not do so is violative of the United States Constitution.” (NJTV News, 3/18/16)
