Senator Klobuchar is the latest Senator to speak on the Senate floor on behalf of her teacher union special interest backers. Like her Senate Democrat colleagues, one just needs to follow the money to understand Klobuchar’s opposition to Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education.

In preparation for her competitive re-election in 2018 and her all-but-announced run for President in 2020, Senator Amy Klobuchar’s spoke on the Senate floor today on behalf of the teacher unions that have propped up her political career.
THE MONEY:
  • $20,000 from the American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
  • $19,100 from the National Education Association (NEA)
Unsurprisingly, Klobuchar is marching with her party leadership and those who have bankrolled her time in the Senate in opposition to the highly-qualified Betsy DeVos.
